Jackie's 26th Birthday

After the big Sunday dinner I put together for Chris' birthday, I decided to keep my birthday low key. We had a small dinner on Sunday for family and a few friends (who couldn't make it to dinner out the next night). We had Pork roast, grilled asparagus, rolls, and salad. Chris' mom made the traditional lemon bunt cake.

Chris and I got new patio furniture and Chris put up some awesome outdoor lights and tiki torches for the party.

The next evening, I invited a few friends to eat dinner at one of my favorite places- Pizzaria 712. Then we all came back to my house to decorate homemade sugar cookies.

On a side note, this was the first year that I didn't spend my birthday with my twin sister and the first year in 10 years that I didn't spend my birthday in Lake Powell.

July 2011- Keller Family Lake Powell Trip

Our annual Keller Lake Powell trip is something we look forward to every year. This year was a little less than exciting for me, because I was pregnant. And because I didn't want to do anything that could potentially cause problems, I got to sit and watch while the boys wake surfed and water skiied. It was worth the sacrifice, but it made the trip a little bit boring on my end. Also, Jessie and Bryan couldn't come because jessie was on bedrest. Anyway, here are some highlights from the trip.

April, May, June 2011

On April 18, 2011 we found out that we were pregnant with our 2nd baby!

It took us a year and a half to get pregnant with Blake, so we weren't surprised when things weren't going as planned this time around. After 9 months of trying, we finally called the dr. and he gave us that option of waiting until we had tried for a year, or taking medicine that would make me ovulate. We went ahead and got the medicine and were pregnant the next month! :)

That evening we went to "The Chocolate" to celebrate. We got two big slices of cake (chocolate and vanilla)
mmm... cookies

On Memorial Day, we went to visit Grandpa Milton's (chris' side) grave. It has been a wonderful tradition.
May 30th we took Blake to Heber to ride Thomas the Train. He LOVED it.

We like to spend a lot of our warm days at the park. We have 3 really nice parks within walking distance.

We also enjoy spending time in Sundance. The have a fantastic peanut butter and jelly sandwich at the deli that we usually have to get while we are there.

Blake really wanted to touch this car. He is his fathers son when it comes to loving cars!

Easter 2011

This year we spent Easter at my oldest sisters house. My whole family was in town.

Blake Turns 2

Blake turned 2 years old on March 29, 2011 (this also marks a year and 2 weeks in our house)

Birthday morning, Blake ran around in the backyard in his pj's while mom and dad worked on cupcakes and birthday decorations.

Blake got a bubble machine that morning for his party

The night before his birthday, we finally got his shelves put up in his room (a year later)
I love how they turned out

We had Blake's part the monday before his birthay. We invited family and close friends this year (last year we had pretty much every one we knew and I wanted it to be low key this year)
